The SkipVac industrial vacuum meets the high demands that industry expects, due to its power, efficiency, reliability, ease of operation and maintenance giving excellent value for money.
The SkipVac™ might be the smallest of our industrial vacuum units, but it punches well above its weight. Our powerful yet compact self-contained unit provides 12.5kw of vacuum that can pick up fine dust and waste up to 40mm in size.
Its small footprint and quiet operating levels mean it’s favoured by a wide range of industries that also appreciate its flexibility, ease of use and robustness.
The combined power pack and filter assembly is mounted on top of a self-tipping skip, so the unit can easily be lifted and transported to wherever collected debris needs to be disposed, or cleaning needs to be carried out. The unit is fully enclosed so dust is safely contained and it comes with flexible hoses and specially designed attachments that enables complete access to awkward, hard to reach areas.
WHY use SkipVac?
One of the most important problems to solve when planning a cleaning system is the handling of the collected dust and material. In order not to create new problems with dust and heavy lifting work in the premises, the optimal solution is to use the company’s existing handling systems for the transportation and discharging of the collected dust. A fork lift is normally available in all industrial companies which is why the SkipVac unit is a flexible choice.
The high suction capacity together with the large collecting capacity makes the unit very useful in most cleaning situations. Due to its flexibility the unit gets access to most areas where cleaning needs to be carried out without the use of fixed pipe networks or long hoses.
Operation
The vacuumed material is first separated in the Skipvac’s specially designed fall-chamber. In this section the particles are guided and will also fall by gravity to the bottom of the container. From there the air is transported to the main filter section where any remaining dust will be separated.
As an option, the unit can be delivered with a built-in pneumatic jack for fixed installation.
“The DISAB SkipVac is an excellent machine that’s got capacity, reliability and is easy to empty. It’s also easy to move around with a forklift. It handled 2-3 tonnes of flux slag quite happily and didn’t need emptying every five minutes. But what we really liked was its suction power.”
“One of the SkipVac’s best features is the easy way it’s emptied out. It’s just a matter of getting a forklift to lift the top section away from the DISAB SkipVac hopper, and then taking the hopper to wherever the waste needs to be disposed of. It’s safe and simple, and presents no risk to the operatives.”
